An intriguing rotating mechanism elegantly slides the nib from inside the pen as the clip lowers onto the pen body. The fountain pen is thus ready to write. If the rotary filler is turned off, a round valve automatically slides in front of the opening and protects the retracted nib from drying out or leak.
